Instructions - or lack thereof

Postby cdarro on Thu Jan 08, 2009 3:42 pm

Just received my X4 and .... no written instructions! All I got was a CD-ROM that won't play. Called support, and got sent to voicemail. Is this the kind of customer service/support I can expect from this company? Being Canadian, I ordered from this supposedly Canadian company, thinking that there would be at least decent customer support.... looks like I was wrong! I guess I'm just supposed to be a mind reader and figure out the use myself! Thanks a lot, X4!!

Yes, I too have had dificulty getting them to answer the phone but lets answer your questions. First, the CD is not a video, it's a document that will open on your computer. Now, how to set-up / use the X-4. Before you strap-in, assemble the X-4, see how it goes together and how the tensioning posts work, experiment with adding extension posts, see how the securing methods work. Once you feel at ease or familiar w/ all the parts, select what you think are the proper length tension posts and strap in. Hopefully, by now, you've been able to open the CD and see some diagrams of operation. Be careful and avoid too much tension as you start out, suggest a tension that has all lines on the tension posts exposed. Then over time, gradually increase tension to hide the indicating lines. Let your "Pal" be the judge of how much tension

I agree x4labs should be more explicit about setting up and using the extender as I too had difficulty figuring out as to what was what with device.
